This section is about Scripting in Ellié Computing Merge. It presents the different functions and objects which are available to the scripting engine.

Ellié Computing Merge scripting is based on ECMAScript, the base of many well-known Internet scripting technologies (JavaScript, ActionScript...). It means that you do not have to learn a new language. The framework that Ellié Computing Merge brings to the power of ECMAScript lets you run comparisons, synchronize web sites to source code controls, generate reports, import patchs... all of that in an unattended manner.

Ellié Computing Merge scripting gives access to mostly all the operations available to the graphical user interface on any type of document, from any UI (graphical, command line or component).
