"You must be logged as an administrator or as a
member of the Power Users group when installing this
program". This error occurs when the Windows user does
not have enough rights to install applications. Please note
that users members of the "Users" group on Windows 2000/XP
can run Ellié Computing Merge, but cannot install or
uninstall it.
Ellié Computing uses Inno Setup as
the software installation wizard on Microsoft Windows
computers. We did not encounter any problem when testing
Ellié Computing Merge installation on different
Microsoft Windows systems.
Linux installation
many distributions lack the libstdc++.so.6 (CXXABI_1.3.1)
and have an older version of this library, the default
installation now take this into account and install a
compatible version inside Ellié Computing Merge
directory, if you want to upgrade this library please follow
README.txt instructions.
64 bits systems needs the packages ia32-libs
and ia32-libs-gtk because Ellié Computing Merge
relies in 32 bits versions of the libraries.
Solaris installation
Ellié Computing Merge does not run on Solaris Sparc
systems. Only Solaris 10 x86 is supported for the
moment.
MacOS installation
Ellié Computing Merge only runs on Intel x86
hardware. It was tested successfully on MacOS 10.4. If you
have any issue with previous 10.x versions, please contact
us. A PowerPC version was compiled on works in Rosetta,
